A Film by Kit Warren

A Confluence of Elements

Opening at Rye Art Gallery Saturday May 9th 2026

'A theatre of uncanny presence and distant whisperings of people long gone. The slow moving waters of their times now far out to sea' - Russell Burden / Lossenham

Rye Art Gallery is proud to be showing the creative works undertaken as part of the Lossenham Project. Featuring Art, Music, Film & History drawn from the materials inspired and found in the Lossenham Landscape.

The exhibition A Confluence of Elements explores the landscape of Lossenham in the Kentish countryside, bringing together the work of artist in residence Russell Burden, visiting artist Melvyn Evans and photographer Terry Hulf. Drawing directly from the site’s materials and ancient history, this showcase reflects a shared response to place, process, and collaboration.
