'The Art of British Printmaking', Private View

On Saturday the 11th May we opened the Rye Print Biennial, 'The Art of British Printmaking', with a very well attended Private View.
The show focuses on the many different processes of printmaking such as etching, woodcuts, linocut, lithography and screen printing.
As with many of our recent exhibitions staged here at Rye Art Gallery, we are curating this show alongside important works held in our permanent collections including those by Sir Frank Short RA PPRE, Robert Sargent Austin RA PPRE, Margaret Barnard, John Piper CH, Paul Nash, Edward Burra CBE, Norman Ackroyd CBE RA Hon. RE, and Edward Twohig Hon. Curator RE.
