Chris Daynes

Born in Hove, Sussex, England, Chris was educated in Norfolk in the 1960's. An Honours Degree in Fine Art at Leeds College of Art followed. After a long career in education as Head of Art in a Kent Grammar

school, he began painting full-time. Since 2001, he has been fortunate to be able to paint full time.  

An 'on the spot' painter plein air, Chris' work takes him to the Sussex coast, the City of London and the Thames, and the North Norfolk coast amongst other places. Of his work he states....... 

"Working directly from the landscape brings my work an integrity and a freshness, as I seek to express the ever changing light of the city, shore or river". 

Chris has exhibited with many London Art Societies at the Mall Galleries, and at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
