Jackdaw with Crowbar

Jackdaw with Crowbar formed in Leamington Spa in 1985. They have evolved to embrace performance art and contemporary music. Originally counterpointing the music with multiple super 8 film projections, the group, now performing under the moniker, 'Jackdaw with Crowbar, because you're worth it, use digital film montage projections, as well as a bespoke element where they project the audience, which in turn becomes a live painting in the moment, as the performance progresses. This theatrical performance, combined with the music offers an intense and engaging experience. The music is a unique blend of contemporary electronic and avant-'pop'. 

This is the first performance art piece designed specifically for Rye Art Gallery in conjuction with Rye Arts Festival
