Competition Exhibition Dates: 
8th August - 6th September 2026
Works for entry £15 each (maximum 2 entries) 
Please label all work with artist name, full title, medium and wall selling price.

Notes: 

1. Images for the competition should be submitted either using this online form or by email ryeartgallery@gmail.com

2. We will only be accepting traditional en plein air paintings, NO prints or photographs this year

3. Deadline for submission  17th July 

4. Works selected for the exhibition will be decided upon by the Curator

5. All paintings must be delivered to the gallery framed and ready to hang between 27th - 31st July.

6. All work will be available for sale during this period, works cannot be collected until close of show on the 6th of September after 5pm.

7. 8th August - Opening private view 11am - 1pm

8. 17th August - Judging of artworks during the second week 

9. 6th September  - Closing ceremony and prize giving at Rye Art Gallery

10. Prizes, First prize £500, Second prize £250. Winners will be notified in advance

11. Runners up awards and certificates will also include artist materials

12. The decision of the Rye Art Gallery, En Plein Air jury will be final

13. Rye Art Gallery retains 50% of the retail price for all work sold
